Abstract

This paper deals with different aspects of the organization of work in Egyptian Middle Kingdom '2005-1650 B.C.'. On the one hand, an analysis of changes in the ruling principles of collective work organization after the First Intermediate Period is proposed. On the other hand, diverse categories of workers are identified, in the main contexts in which the State exacted labour services from the Egyptian population.
