Arnaldo Momigliano y la historiografía. Reflexiones pisanas en torno a las tradiciones de los siglos XIX y XX

Abstract

A fin de realizar unas breves consideraciones sobre el problema del método en Momigliano, abordaremos una porción poco frecuentada de su bastísima producción histórico-historiográfica: sus contribuciones a los seminarios de historia de la historiografía celebrados en la Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa desde 1972 hasta su muerte, ocurrida en 1987. En el transcurso de los seminarios Momigliano analizaría la producción y herencia de aquellos individuos a su juicio más representativos de los estudios sociales de los siglos XIX y XX, la mayor parte de ellos pertenecientes a las generaciones positivistas y románticas alemanas del siglo XIX que habían constituido el núcleo de su formación intelectual durante sus años en Torino.In order to make some brief thoughts on the problem of method in Momigliano, few visitors will board a portion of its historical and historiographical production: their contributions to the seminars of historiography at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa from 1972 until his death in 1987. During the seminars Momigliano analyze the production and inheritance of those individuals in their opinion best reflect the social studies of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, most of them belonging to generations positivist and romantic nineteenth-century German who had formed the core of his intellectual development during his years in Torino.
