Ephemeris de décimo Ausonio : un día en la vida de un aristócrata tardoantiguo

Abstract

A través de este texto, constituido por ocho poemas, algunos de los cuales presentan lagunas en su transmisión, el poeta aquitano Décimo Magno Ausonio repasa los acontecimientos de un día de su vida. A través de esta forma singular de “hacer historia”, el lector cuenta con un breve diario que permite registrar cómo transcurre la vida de un aristócrata tardío; Ausonio, ligado muy estrechamente a la corte del emperador Valentiniano, desarrolló su labor como preceptor del príncipe Graciano y rhetor en la prestigiosa escuela de Bordeaux, además de cumplir labores políticas de cuestor y cónsul, y de ser protagonista privilegiado de la transformación religiosa del Imperio, durante los tortuosos años de la rebelión del anti-emperador Máximo. Through this text, consisting of eight poems, some of which have gaps in your transmission, the Aquitanian poet Decimus Ausonius Magnus reviewed the events of a day in his life. Through this unique form of 'make history', the reader has a brief diary that allows to register how goes the life of a Late Aristocrat; Ausonius, very closely linked to the Court of the Emperor Valentinian, developed his work as tutor of Prince Gratianus and rhetor in the prestigious school of Bordeaux, as well as perform political tasks of Quaestor and Consul, and if privileged protagonist of the religious transformation of the Empire, during the tortuous years of the rebellion of anti-emperor Maximus.
